What seems like a simple game!
I shall come as night falls,
After this body would have decomposed
inside the marble grave.
I shall turn into blue skies shades
over the houses. I shall float,
I shall turn into the wind,
or into a boy breaking through bushes
searching for the sun.
I shall turn into a tree trunk
searching for the old homeland,
for the noise that crushing potteries make,
for the parents who left us stealthily
in their nightwear,
for a spot of land, for my roots to
stretch through.
I shall come from the cold land to wonder about
The desert, the one that granted us wars,
and cruel parents,
and dark skins,
for boats of hope and sinking
I shall come and ask my friends
about the long nights of loneliness,
and about wrists which nurtured suicides
and gloomy poems
I shall come
To ask my friends
How could they not see
beyond our smiles;
our mounted torments?
I shall come to ask the parents
Whom nurtured warm siblings,
about our prolonged cold.
I shall come as a darkness
or sudden sadness
or mild ache in the bones
friends wonder about life
and how did they get through all these years
without me?
I shall come to ask mothers
whom granted us life,
wrapped in fatigue;
how could they fall asleep
whilst we were in other rooms
filling our guns?
